Depot Square Events
Throughout the year, Depot Square and the individual shops and restaurants feature many events from gallery openings to wine tastings. The first Friday of every month is designated “First Friday” and is an evening celebration with gallery openings, concerts, open shops, and lots of culinary delights.
In the spring, summer and fall months, there is a large farmer’s market in Depot Park on Wednesday afternoon and, every Sunday morning, Depot Square hosts an antique flea market. The annual Children and the Arts Festival, held the third Saturday in May, brings thousands of families to Depot Square and downtown Peterborough for children’s performances and gallery displays. Peak into Peterborough, the town’s annual fall foliage festival, is held the first weekend of October with many events in Depot Square and Depot Park. During the Christmas season there are many Christmas related events and the stores stay open until 9 p.m. on Thursday nights.
When we travel to Peterborough to visit Depot Square and the town, we also try to attend one of the many concerts or theatre performances that the town is famous for. Our trips to Peterborough are truly special occasions for my husband and me."
